On special days (birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day) I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing than be out there running in the sunshine! This Mother's Day I headed down to Kirkstall and set off an hour early to run a marathon so I could be finished and see Poppy as soon as I could!
It was a glorious day and a really lovely place to run despite being distracted by the wonders of nature once or twice. A few things I forgot to say at the end of the video... My shoes were fine, I literally stopped, pulled my socks up and then they didn't annoy me again! The turnaround marshal had their car windows smashed in and that's why they weren't there... Unfortunately these things happen. We did turn around at the correct point.
I loved the buzz at the end of this race. It was really nice to relax, celebrate our achievement, see the lovely Steph, have a hotdog and some sweets to refuel and then head off to see my girl! A great Mother's Day!
