Getting the right amount of gel and water when you're styling your waves and curls isn’t about a magic number — it’s about feel.
When I’m watching someone style, I’m looking for:
✨ enough water for slip
✨ gel evenly coating palms and fingers
✨ coverage from roots to ends
✨ that subtle “squish” when you scrunch
Too little water? Results turn stringy and frizzy.
Too much water? Hair can over-clump and look thin.
This is why application matters more than just which gel you’re using. Small adjustments — a little more water, slightly more slip — can completely change the outcome.
