5 heritage railway stations, alongside 2 other railway sites, have been listed at Grade II to celebrate 200 years of the modern railway. 🙌
The sites include:
🍺 The Cleveland Bay pub in Eaglescliffe, County Durham (the earliest identified purpose-built railway pub in the world).
🚉 Weybourne Station and Sheringham Station in North Norfolk.
🚂 Havenstreet Station on the Isle of Wight.
🛤️ Swanage Engine Shed and Turntable, and Northbrook Road overbridge on the Swanage Railway heritage line in Dorset.

These listings are part of Railway 200, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of modern passenger railway services with the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway on 27 September 1825.
