This 1930s garden in Guisborough is a rare surviving example of an inter-war Arts and Crafts garden.
Created for industrialist Ronald Crossley, Tudor Croft overlooks the North York Moors, and much of its original character still remains.
One of its most charming features is the Gnome Garden, filled with terracotta gnomes, pixies and animals made by potter Walter Scott at the Commondale brickworks.
There’s also a small Secret Garden with a stone bridge, a roofed fernery, and rockwork thought to be by the Backhouse Nursery of York, along with a curving rose pergola and water garden.
