This is the cheapest Ritz-Carlton in Europe — and we just spent five nights here for 12 bucks. Let me explain. Penha Longa is a 14th-century monastery turned five-star resort just outside Lisbon, Portugal. Our stay would’ve cost over $2,600, but we used five 50,000-point Marriott Free Night Awards and topped each one up with a few thousand points — bringing our total cost to just 12 euros in taxes and fees. For that, we got a beautiful upgraded room with our Marriott status, access to three pools and a full spa, daily breakfast, and multiple fine-dining options — including not one, but two Michelin-starred restaurants — all wrapped in classic Ritz-Carlton luxury. Plus, it’s just minutes from Sintra — a stunning town of colorful palaces with mountain views that was absolutely worth the day trip. But there were definitely some parts of this stay that left a lot to be desired… so check out our full review on YouTube and subscribe to Daily Drop for more travel tips like this.
