All Things 3D | Introducing Vincent van Timberlake ... @allthings3d | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 14 minutes ago
I was looking for a popular dance song to use for testing Brekel #ProBody V3 demo, two Micrsoft Kinect V2s (XBOX One), and the Unreal Engine & LiveLink plugin, and thought Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" would be great little "family friendly" dance song to use to get into the "Motion Capture" feeling .
It should be noted this is raw motion capture data recorded using LiveLink into an UE Animation Blueprint I created, pressing record & dancing for 60 sec. I made several clips & retargeted it to the UE Mannequin & Vince. Not perfect, (joint rotations) but fast & easy.
I also used Unreal Engine's superb #Cinematics sequence recorder & camera for 900 frames (30fps). UE 4.20's new DOF is easy to use, much like a regular camera now. The whole process took about two hours in my small studio office 7' x 11' VR space. More test to come in the garage VR area, and yes more dancing. :)
