Violence against women is a global problem that has its origin in the belief that women are not equal to men. GNRD, on the occasion of the International Day of Violence against Women, November 25, will start an international video campaign in social media networks to raise awareness of this problem is present throughout the world and affects women and girls, regardless of religion and social class.
The United Nations chose this day to honor the Mirabal sisters in 1960 who were brutally murdered for exercising political activism against the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo (1930-1961), during which they were raped and tortured repeatedly.
-Stop violence against women.
