I missed the most obvious choice in the last Pattern along Path video. Here's take 2 with a more obvious path effect in Inkscape for the infinite loop. Bend might not be as versatile, but it's quick, works on groups, and is easy to edit.
In this video, I want to show you how to use the path effect alongside the Shape Builder Tool to create a multicoloured infinite loop [and other tracks like it].
