In this video we find the energies and wave functions of the infinite square well potential.

๐Ÿ“šThe infinite square well potential is one of the most iconic problems in quantum mechanics. It can be solved analytically, and the solutions show that the energy in this system can only take discrete values: it is quantized. Parity is a symmetry of the potential, and the wave functions of this system reflect this symmetry: they are sine and cosine functions.
