I review the tenth Bantam Indy novel and the second by third and final author Max McCoy. DINOSAUR EGGS sounds like a silly title but this is easily the most fun book in the series so far. McCoy nails the tone of the films and amplifies every positive of his first entry, PHILOSOPHER’S STONE.
Several characters from the films appear and the overall vibe of the love interest seems lifted directly from TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA. The pulpy globetrotting is first rate, the action setpieces are very well done and the finale has definite feelings of LOST HORIZON. Ultimately there are still some issues common to the Bantam series but this is the closest to the films in spirit and arguably the best Indy book I e read so far.
A must for every Indy fan!
