I review the 45th Republic Serial, The Black Widow. The sense of humor and banter between the two leads elevate this serial from being a lower tier later effort to one of the more entertaining serials from Republic. The gang of villains out to steal or sabotage government technology projects have many unique and fun elements from a fortune teller front setup to Mission Impossible type mask impersonations. The action is well handled and there are some really well done cliffhangers.

Unfortunately the only official release is this 1991 dual VHS edition.
