The Inkatha Freedom Party has named Mkhuleko Hlengwa as its mayoral candidate for the eThekwini metro, while Cllr. Xolani Ngwezi will contest for mayor in the City of uMhlathuze. The party says it is taking a different approach to the 2026 local government elections, also naming Sizwe “Mavava” Skhakhane as its deputy mayoral candidate for eThekwini.
