Convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester's prison escape trial is set to run from April 19 until June 18 next year. Bester and his co-accused made a brief appearance in the Free State High Court today, where the matter was adjourned for plea and trial. Bester's partner, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, and others are accused of helping Bester fake his death in a fire and escape from Mangaung Prison in 2022. Refiloe Seboko reports on the proceedings.
