Tajin, we’re coming for you! 🌶🍋🧂 Why drop 5 bucks a bottle when you can make it at home for a few cents? 🥹
This spicy, tangy, salty Mexican magic turns plain fruit or veg into an irresistible snack. If you know, you know.
DIY Tajin Recipe:
▫️ 10g salt (~1 tsp)
▫️ 10g citric acid (~1 tsp)
▫️ 10g chili powder (~1 Tbsp)
Tips & Notes:
🔸 I use chili powder instead of flakes — better mix, smoother texture, fits in a salt shaker.
🔸 Kashmiri chili powder is my fave: mild heat, gorgeous color, great flavor.
🔸 Don’t fall for the “lime-flavored” hype. Store-bought Tajin just has citric acid + a trace of lime juice powder. You won’t miss it.
🔸 DIY clumps a bit without anti-caking agents. Just shake it up or add a pinch of cornstarch. Silica gel packets = pro move.
