Everytime I cover something from Danganronpa and sometimes even on songs that arent Danganronpa, I get comments demanding I cover Scrum Debate from V3. I finished V3 about a month after it came out and even still I find myself thinking about the ending, the characters, and the story to this day... But the one thing that puzzled me most of all is how to make Scrum Debate, an epic yet fairly repetitive electronic bop, into an enticing metal cover. I found myself coming to the conclusion it wasnt possible so I usually just told people not to expect it.
This week I just decided to do it. Even if it didnt sound good, I wanted to at least try it. It got me to break out my Digitech Whammy Pedal again to take on those crazy synth lines and also got me to try my hand at incorperating 808 kicks like I did way back in my Winterbliss cover from Castle Crashers. Even with all that and putting in a wacky solo, I still found myself worrying it wouldnt work. Adriana took a listen and told me, not every song has to be attention grabbing at every moment, sometimes a song just has to be a vibe. So I hope thats what this cover is for you guys. A vibe.

I asked my twitch chat a few weeks ago that if I were to do a Pico cover, who would play Pico. My chat pretty much listed everyone and I realized that while I had this song stuck in my head and was really pumped to do a cover of it, it had to be me.
Ive known for a very long time how to do shots with multiple of myself in them, but havent found a situation to use it that I thought could be cool until now. My brother is in town and helped me really plan out something interesting and fun for this one. We planned out the shots and it ended up looking really cool in the end.
I was floored also at how close I was able to get to Picos voice with just an 8 string guitar and a wah pedal. I originally thought about picking up a talk box or something to get the effect, but I really wanted to first try getting the effect in the same vein as the other FNF covers and I think it ended up working out really well this way. I first discovered Black Desert Online back when it released when I saw a video of someone recreating Emma Watson in its absolutely stunning character creator that holds up more than five years later. I remember spending 10 hours in the character creator alone that I was so tired when I finally got around to playing it, that I didnt even have the energy that night to get through the tutorial. It was clear to me that this game was something else and though its not been at the absolute forefront of MMORPGs since, the game has an amazing community and player base that keeps it alive.
I was approached from the company to make a cover from the OST and they brought my attention to this track. I thought it was absolutely slamming and I couldnt wait to dig in. Contrary to my previous feelings on covering already metal songs in games, I have come to absolutely love playing songs from games that are made with the guitar in mind rather than keyboard or even just clicked in by mouse. It not only makes it easier to lay down and wrap my fingers around, but lets me work on my practical metal guitar chops and also metal production in an environment the song is inherently built for.
