The fitness industry has been mired in a bunch of bs overcomplication of exercises for many years. And all of that wanking accomplishes a lot of nothing. But those people have the goal of creating 45 minute videos to pump the algorithm, keep you confused, and get views.
I'm here to help.
So I will be putting up a series of exercise technique videos, showing you how I teach the movements for best results. The difference being that what I will tell you
a. works
b. isn't overly complex
c. can usually be explained and/or demonstrated in roughly 3-5 minutes
Because the fact is this: if you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it.
And the rest of the talking heads, NONE of whom used the bs techniques they are showing you to develop their own physiques, don't understand it. And even if they did, their goal isn't to educate to begin with.
I understand it. And if you watch this videos you'll be amazed at how much more effective your training becomes using small basic techniques. Ones I can teach and they can NOT.
Let me note, these videos all have as their goal optimizing HYPERTROPHY training. Not performance, not strength, HYPERTROPHY. So spare me questions or comments (which I won't read) about "Does this apply to powerlifting?" or whatever.
HYPERTROPHY.

So to kick it off I'm going to start with something I wrote an article about ages ago but which is easier to show on video. And that's how to involved the pecs in compoud pressing movements such as flat, incline or decline bench, any chest press machine of any angle, etc.
Becuase too many people report that they only feel those movements in their delts and triceps. It's why everybody flat benches to impress their idiot friends before adding a bunch of pec deck, flyes, etc.
They don't feel/aren't using their pecs in the compound movement.
And I can teach ANYONE, from rank beginner to 20 year experienced lifter how to do it in about 3 minutes. Something I guarantee the rest of the talking heads can't. Well not until they watch this video and steal it and pretend they came up with it.
And do so in this video.
Watch it, do the drills, try it in the gym and then come back to the comments on this video and write those three words I love to much
Lyle was right.
