In this DROPS video we show you how to work knit 1 twisted, purl 1, in the round using the Continental knitting style. This textured pattern is called rib/ribbing and is one of many varieties.


BEFORE THE VIDEO STARTS:
The stitch count needs to be divisible by 2 so that all knitted-twisted stitches are above each other and all purled stitches are above each other. We have already worked a few centimeters of the ribbed pattern.

THE VIDEO SHOWS:
ROUND 1: Knit 1 twisted, purl 1, to end of round. When knitting twisted, you knit through the back loop of the stitch so the stitch twists.
ROUND 2: The stitches are worked in the same way as the stitches below = knit twisted above knit twisted and purl above purl.

Repeat ROUND 2 onward.
