Knowing how to make primitive cordage is one of the most important survival skills you can master at home. It's one of the basic bushcraft skills for beginners. In this primitive skills video, I'll show you how to make a bushcraft lace cutter that will allow you to cut perfect rawhide lacing quickly. Then we'll make a primitive rope spinner to make two and three ply primitive cordage. These same techniques can be used to make any size rope or cordage you need. In a later video, I'll show how to make different styles of rope making.
