What do you get when you combine a flintlock muzzleloader, a yellow lab, a big bunch of wild turkeys and a hole in the ground? Well, I suppose a bushcraft catch and cook like you've never seen before! In this flintlock hunting video, Cedar and I are trying to fill my fall turkey tag. Turkey hunting with dogs was once a common practice but it's rarely used these days. And doing it with a flintlock shotgun is nearly unheard-of. In keeping with the theme, I'm also using an old fashioned wing bone turkey call. And after a truly unbelievable conclusion to the hunt, we head back to camp and build a bushcraft smoker for cooking in the ground.
