You know that video outreach is worth the investment. But how do you prove it? Your video goes out into the world, and you never know what impact it has.
What you need are tools and measurable KPI’s - that’s another term that stands for Key Performance Indicators. These are different than goals in that they are concrete numbers. So your goal may be to ”inspire vocations,” but your KPI would be to have 1,000 video views among young men aged 15-30. 1,000 video views is a measurable number, one that you can track - for free! - using the tools on any video hosting platform.
There are also tools, like Google Analytics, that you can use to track your viewer’s behavior after they watched a video. Did they click the link and go to your website? What did they click on next? With the right systems in place, you could definitely tell your president that, not only did 1,000 young men watch your vocations video, twenty of them filled out an inquiry form and are in touch with your vocations director!
Now that’s good stewardship.
