Rokolee DIY | How to: Sew a Cape with 1 Metre of Fabric | Red Velvet Cloak Sewing Tutorial for a Halloween Costume @RokoleeDIY | Uploaded October 2023 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
These step-by-step instructions show you how to make a classic cape with only 1m of fabric. You can choose to add a fastening to the front, or you can sew a channel for a drawstring fastening instead. I've included lots of diagrams to make it as easy and beginner-friendly as possible.
This is an ideal project if you're making a superhero or devil fancy dress costume, or even a festive costume if you sew white fur to the hem :)
I hope you enjoy this simple sewing project, and thank you for watching!
P.S. Note that I am 5ft 8 tall, and you can see in the photo at the start how long it is on me.
