This simple tutorial shows you how to knit triangle shapes in stockinette stitch, with a garter stitch border. At the top are eyelets created with yarn overs, and these allow you to join the triangles using yarn or twine to form a pennant garland.
As an extra step, you could add lettering using colourwork techniques (Intarsia or duplicate stitch) in order to make personalised bunting for a birthday or other celebration :)
