This simple lesson will show you how to do the cable cast on method, as well as an improved technique, plus I'll do a quick demo of how the cast-on edge changes depending on how you orientate the stitch.
This method of casting on is popular because it looks good and is stable. It a has some stretch but isn't as stretchy as others...which makes it firmer and better for edges where some sturdiness is needed, like when making buttonholes.
