This quilling lesson not only shows you how to quill a pretty butterfly pattern, but also shows you how I went about designing this project from scratch, so you can do the same yourself if you wish.

Basically, you take your favourite butterfly and simplify it into segments and shapes. I run through how to make tight and loose coils, ovals, triangles, semi-circles and eye shapes in this tutorial, plus how to create borders.
