How to Take Photos of a Crocheted Table Runner When You Don't Have a Nice Dining Room ✨️
One thing I struggle with a lot is the fact that my home is not set up for good pictures. It's dark in my home, needs a paint job and tiiinnny, and like many of you, I have a lot of stuff too 😆 Certainly a work in progress!
But as a crochet designer, I need a nice spot to take photos, and that is where my most used thing comes into play -- a backdrop!
I have several backdrops from Ink and Elm on Etsy in different sizes, and I place them on the floor of my covered porch where I get nice natural lighting. Shop them with my affiliate link: tidd.ly/44POCwP
In addition, I use props. I set up my props first. Look through my camera. Move things around. Check again and repeat until I'm happy, then I add in things like coffee into the mugs and muffins onto the plates.
The thrift store is a great place to find props, but if you're in Central Florida, then a must for props is America's Antique Mall in Melbourne, Florida.
