After you finish crocheting your washcloth, before getting started with the border, I'll show you how you can add a hanging loop in so you can hang up your washcloth as decor, for drying or to store after drying.
My border is going to be in simple single crochet, which I start after completing the loop. You could easily change up the stitch pattern or work additional rounds into your border.
