I thought I had finished this banner a couple months ago, but when I hung it on my door, I just felt like it was missing something...

And it pretty much was because I did not add the embroidered chain stitch around, but it also was so large, it looked awkward.

I pulled it off the dowel, folded it up and put it away for the time being. As I work on my Fall decor, I thought about the banner... what if I use it as a rug?

I decided to pull it back out, and surface slip stitch around (rather then embroider), and then I'll remove the hanging portion, and lay it in front of my entryway table.
