In this video, I show you how to create a simple but elegant bowl from satin wood using the Harvey T60S woodturning lathe and carbide tools from Easy Wood Tools. Satinwood’s natural beauty makes it a fantastic choice for any project, and this straight forward process is perfect for woodturners of all levels.
After turning the bowl, I sanded it to a smooth 240-grit finish. To bring out the rich grain, I applied Yorkshire Grit abrasive paste and completed the project with Hampshire Sheen finishing wax, leaving the bowl with a stunning, polished surface.
Tools and Materials Used:
Lathe: Harvey T60S
Turning Tools: Easy Wood Tools carbide cutters
Sanding: 240 grit
Finish: Yorkshire Grit abrasive paste + Hampshire Sheen finishing wax
