If your water level is too high and the pump is not running in a Toilet Macerator or a Dishwasher or a Washing machine this part is usually the cause.
Here we show what part needs to be changed, what the part markings mean, how to get a new part and how to test it. All straightforward but please be careful not to get an electrical shock by disconnecting the unit from the mains electricity before dismantling. An extra precaution is to allow some time for the motor capacitor to self discharge, or discharging it manually by connecting it’s wires together without touching them.
Sometimes the cause of the motor not running can be the capacitor to the motor failing, so just change the capacitor to one with the uF capacitance value and voltage, see parts on ebay, start with the links below.
The new part that I changed to on this unit was this:

This part was for a dishwasher but the specification was very nearly the same as the original part in this supermax toilet macerator unit - turning on at 35mBar air pressure and turning off at 17mBar, hence it was marked 35/17. Saniflo toilet macerator pumps are similar I believe.
Make sure you get a part that has the same appearance, not ones that use electronics and work at lower voltages.
