About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to download and install OptiFine in Minecraft 26.1.2. With that, you will be able to get all of OptiFine’s features from increased FPS to shaders to even quality of life features like zoom.
To get started, you will need to download OptiFine 26.1.2. There is a link above to our complete guide, where you can click the “Download” button to go to the official download page. On this page, click the “mirror” link next to the OptiFine 26.1.2 version.
That will take you to that version’s specific download page. There, click the “Download” button, and it will start downloading.
Now, we need to actually learn how to install OptiFine for Minecraft 26.1.2. To do this, open up the installer file you downloaded using Java. If you don’t have Java, there is a guide to get it linked above.
In the installer, click the “Install” button, and OptiFine 26.1.2 will install automatically. The only reason you would have issues is if Minecraft or the Minecraft Launcher are open, or if you haven’t played Minecraft 26.1.2 before. Once it is complete, you can close the installer and delete it.
Now, go to the Minecraft Launcher, select “Installation” at the top, and find your the correct installation. Click “Play” and “Play” again, and Minecraft will open up with OptiFine installed.
