Many people have asked how we go about finding snakes, so today we're going to be taking a look at some of the simple methods I like to do to find snakes in my home state of Louisiana! As always we hope y'all enjoy this video! :D
Finding snakes is always our first step in filming a snake video, after all can't have a show without a star! It's important to know that there are at least some populations of snakes wherever we search, and more importantly that we know what species can be found there. To identify snakes, it's important th research what species live in your area, and know which snakes are venomous and which are not. NEVER attempt to handle a snake you cannot identify as being a nonvenomous species. While you can use the internet, I would highly recommend buying a field guide of all your local species at the book store or library, that way you can have your field guide ready to go if you see any species you cannot identify.
