On today's episode, we'll be taking a look at my two favorite snake species that are part of the same genus: the rainbow snake and the mud snake! Both are very elusive aquatic snake species with specialized diets, and some of the most gorgeous colorations you'll ever see on a snake! As always we hope y'all enjoy this video! :D
The genus Farancia holds two snakes: the mud snake and the rainbow snake. These two snakes are closely related, and are very rarely seen by people, due to spending so much time in burrows, under aquatic vegetation, and being a snake with a specialized diet, they aren't as adaptable as other species, meaning they only live in very specific habitats. While both snakes are brightly colored, they are completely harmless, and are some of the friendliest snakes you'll ever lay eyes on.
