On today's adventure, we're heading up into the limestone ridges and longleaf savannahs of central Louisiana in search of my home state's rarest reptiles! These wilderness areas harbor many rare and endangered species that I've never gotten to see, and there's a whole lot of habitat to get into! Most notably, this area is home to speedy eastern coachwhips, elusive coral snakes, and big gnarly rattlesnakes! The extensive rocky hillsides make hiding almost too easy, and make the search about as difficult as possible, but I was determined to get up close with some of these reptiles, and get up close we did!
