Want to make your strongest Pals even more powerful in Palworld 1.0? In this tutorial, I'll show you how to Awaken a Pal, where to get the materials for Awakening Crystals, and how to permanently boost your Pal's stats.
Awakening is an endgame Pal upgrade system that increases a Pal's Health, Attack, and Defense and gives the Pal a bright golden aura. To do it, you'll first need access to the World Tree and an Ancient Workbench at your base.
Inside the World Tree, you'll need to farm Radiant Gems from Pals. Radiant Gems come in different elemental types, and the type generally matches the element of the Pal you're fighting.
For example:
⚡ Electric Pals → Electric Radiant Gems
🔥 Fire Pals → Fire Radiant Gems
💧 Water Pals → Water Radiant Gems
❄️ Ice Pals → Ice Radiant Gems
🌿 Grass Pals → Grass Radiant Gems
🐉 Dragon Pals → Dragon Radiant Gems
You'll also need to collect World Tree Holy Water.
Once you have enough materials, return to your Ancient Workbench and combine:
50 Matching Radiant Gems + 10 World Tree Holy Water → 1 Awakening Crystal
The important part is that the Awakening Crystal must match your Pal's elemental type. So an Electric Pal requires an Electric Awakening Crystal, a Fire Pal requires a Fire Awakening Crystal, and so on.
Use the Awakening Crystal on your Pal and its stats will be permanently increased. You'll also notice your newly Awakened Pal gets a large golden glowing aura.
And if you think the golden glow looks obnoxious, don't worry. You can actually disable Pal auras by opening:
Options → Graphics → View Ally Pals' Auras → OFF
This removes the visual aura without removing your Pal's Awakening stat bonuses.
