We just got a fascinating look at a bunch of unreleased Axum alien buildings and technology coming to Subnautica 2, and these images may reveal a lot about how future story progression, deeper exploration, and the mysterious Axum civilization are going to work.
Among the leaked screenshots is a MASSIVE arena-like alien structure built with the same distinctive architecture we've already seen surrounding the Axum Alien Power Plant.
But the structures themselves may only be part of the story.
Several of the leaked machines and environments appear to be connected to the remains of dead Great Jaw Leviathans, suggesting that the Axum may have developed technology for harvesting these gigantic creatures and using their biological resources.
That could potentially tie into another major theme revealed by these images: creating technology capable of surviving the increasingly extreme pressure and crushing depths of this planet.
