In 1944 the War dept issues a document outlining the reasons why the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camps crematoriums and gas chambers were not attacked. The main reason was the diversion of resources from other bombing targets and the massive prisoner causalities an attack would likely cause. Other attack option include: the destruction of the rail lines, Low level Mosquito attacks and Azon guided bomb attacks. This video will focus on the feasibility of an Azon attack. The goal of the attack would be to destroy the camp’s vital crematoriums and gas chambers while minimizing prisoner causalities and the attack can be accomplished with a small attacking force.
