As surprising as it is after all the different Full Series runs we have already done in the past but we managed to think of yet again another new twist on the format where we play through ALL 23 Main Series Harry Potter games until something specific happens. And in this case the idea was to play until a day clearly passes in game! And obviously that kind of ruleset always has a lot of room for interpretations and discussions which is what makes those kinds of runs fun for me to do. For this specific one I did try to make it as waterproof as possible though and only made sure that it is 100% certain that a day has passed in each game!
And we usually defined this from two different things, the easiest of them would be the change from nighttime back to daytime during the game or even during the same Cutscene clearly meaning we have entered the next day. The other option would be to look at things logically and make sure that there is absolutely no way all of the actions in the game happen during the same day like for example in the intro of Harry Potter 1 (PC) where Harry ages from a baby to an 11-year old in the first Intro Cutscene clearly meaning it HAD to be more than a day that passed.
But there was one thing we didn't really think about with this run! Almost the entirety of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow Part 2 plays during one day! The day of the battle of Hogwarts which starts all the way from their break in into Gringotts and doesn't end until deep into the night right before they finally get rid of Voldemort. Sooo overall this was a pretty fun and kind of fast paced run until we got to the big Deathly Hallows segment. But at the very least that meant this run had a pretty epic finale to it so sit back, relax and enjoy this Full Series Memerun!
The Rules:
Play each of the 23 Main Series Harry Potter games until a day CLEARLY passes within the game. Then switch to the next game and so on.
