I think today marks the first time that I can actively remember where we played a custom map a second time - but this time in an updated, polished and remade version! I have to admit that I was really not aware of this but apparently there are 3 different versions of this challenge and I have only ever played the second one. But a couple of years ago Lemon went back to compltely overhaul it and to change a bunch of the segments, make them prettier and in general just overhaul them completely. That fact made it very interesting to return to this map after so many years and try to play through it again.

Felt very weird to be back to some of the areas but to only half recognize them this time since a lot of stuff had changed. Thankfully I actually remembered this map pretty well still somehow so it was quite possible for me to make the direct comparison between them and to actually appreciate how much nicer the map looks now visually and how well some things were changed. And I have to say that he really did a good job with the level design now as well getting rid of a lot of the kind of weaker and annoying areas from the original map to replace them with better designed and more clever segments instead. Only the snail baiting segments were still there and still as annoying as in the previous version but they were overall manageable as well.

So overall I think this was a clear improvement in every aspect including the secrets, some of the ones in the new map were still a little bit silly and impossible to find, but overall it was very fun to go on the hunt for those secret areas and he made them a lot more reasonable this time. Awesome to see a mapper putting some work and effort into their map AFTER it's already out to make it better and an overall nicer experience for people to play, I will rate this a 8/10 though still since, even though it's massively improved, it still has one or two issues seperating it from the absolutely insane quality custom maps people build nowadays and I want to be fair with my rating...
