One week after 9/11, a new terror hit America, anthrax-laced letters in the mail. And suddenly, a thrash metal band that had carried that name since 1981 found itself at the center of a media firestorm it never asked for.
This episode covers the wild story of Anthrax's post-9/11 crisis, the "Basket Full of Puppies" prank that fooled CNN, Rob Caggiano joining as guitarist and co-producer, and the making of 2003's We've Come for You All, a record critics called a career-best comeback that the charts completely ignored. We close with John Bush's exit in 2005 and set up the chaos still to come.
