In this video, I head out to the woods with my faithful dog Maggie, to try out a new hot tent - the big and spacious Rock Fortress from OneTigris.
I love a hot tent - by using a tent heater, winter camping is transformed - a warm, dry space to be comfortable in, the ability to cook in the tent, to dry wet clothes and to escape the harsh temperatures and conditions of winter.
The Rock Fortress is a big, stable 4-6 person hot tent. It has all the features you would expect from a winter tent such as a steep, multifaceted shape to withstand wind and shed snow, multiple guying points, two doorways, good vents, snow skirts and a stove jack for your stove. It is made from durable 70d PU coated nylon, completely seam taped and reinforced, weighs 4.2kg and is tall enough to stand up in. It ticks all the boxes for me and I am looking forward to some comfortable winter trips using it.
