In this video, I head out on to the beautiful Norfolk Broads with my good buddy Ginge. We bundle our dogs and gear into our canoes and set off from Potter Heigham, paddling up stream along the River Thurne towards Hickling Broad, where we are hit with heavy rain and squally winds, adding to the atmosphere on this huge body of open water. After finding a sheltered spot, we set up a tarp and cook up a hearty lunch, washed down with lashings of cowboy tea.
After lunch, we encounter yet more challenging weather as we battle our way across Horsey Mere, the most northerly of the Norfolk Broads and only two kilometres from the North Sea.
A thoroughly enjoyable day out with great company - thanks Ginge!
