Being prepared for an emergency is really important, hopefully it’ll never happen, but just suppose it does, would you be able to survive until help arrived or make it to safety even if that took several days with just the items on your person?
In this video, I go through the contents of my emergency ‘get me home’ grab bag or bug-out bag (BOB). A selection of emergency items that would hopefully help me if it all went pear shaped! First aid equipment, water treatment, basic shelter kit, a means of making fire and food supplies. It is certainly not a comprehensive list and there are almost certainly items I will change or add as I think of them, but hopefully I’ve got most things covered!
An emergency doesn’t necessarily mean the Apocalypse, a car accident or break-down on a remote stretch of road, being the first on the scene of a car accident, a terrorist incident, a natural disaster, unusual or unexpected weather conditions such a snow storm, or just simply forgetting an essential item on a trip! Hopefully, I’ll never need it, but I know it is there in my vehicle if I ever do!
