Join us as we take you on a walk through the goat palace at Hogshaw Farm which we recently completed. When we sat down to design this structure, we were given a brief from the team at HSF. It included using a variation of the walaby shelter that we built at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, a double shelter, and aspects (including the wobbly bridges) from our Derby goat project and Jimmys Farm Keeperfest project. It also had to include some kind of public interaction feeder, and all within a set budget.
So we put our heads together, and what we came up with and built is one of our favourite builds, and truly is a palace for the goats.
It includes;
- two shelters
- large bridge
- Two wobbly firehose bridges
- loads of different feeders that can be swapped around
- Public interaction crane feeder
- Keeper access with three lots of steps to access the structure
We are so proud of what we managed to achieve in the time, and we even got to see the goats have their first interaction with it (video to come soon).
