I hiked Mt. Timpanagos with Clark (blue-merle Border Collie) on this 16 mile or so round-trip hike to a famous Wasatch Mountain summit hike located near Provo, Utah. You gain over 4000 ft elevation gain and go through many varied landscape scenes. Near the summit, we got close to some Mountain goats which had a stare-down with Clark, but as he was in a leash, he looked back and then ignored them and went on his merry way. I think if Clark was unleashed and chased after them, the goats would have chased him off the edge of the mountain or attacked him.
