Descending Kolob Canyon (the technical canyon) for the 2nd time with my wife. Just the two of us got a permit for the canyon, the day of and recorded our journey through.
The MIA exit at the end is NOT to be misrepresented. It is difficult, even in the daylight, and finding the "path" at night is incredibly difficut. Thankfully, my memory was pretty good in finding and remembering which path to take to the top.
Otherwise, the canyon deserves respect if attempted. It has claimed two lives back in 1993, known as the Kolob Canyon Disaster or Tragedy.
It is a beautiful, alpine slot-canyon that has around approx. 11 rappels with incredibly cold water. Even in late summer, drysuits kept us dry but we were still cold. But thankful we had them.
