Grays Peak Trail is a 4.6 mile out-and-back hike with 950 feet of elevation gain near Big Bear Lake. You'll hike through old-growth forest to a forested summit with views of Big Bear Lake and the San Bernardino high peaks. The trail is moderate difficulty and popular year-round, though snow can close access in winter. A bald eagle nesting area is nearby, which may trigger seasonal closures. No permit required. Park at the Green Valley Lake Campground trailhead or nearby pullouts.
