Carne guisada
2-3 lbs stew meat or chuck roast cubed
1 diced green bell pepper
1 diced onion
1 diced tomato
2 tsp cumin
2 T flour

3 C beef broth or water
1 tsp chili powder
2-3 T veg oil
Jalapeño (optional)
Add oil to a pot on high heat.
Add the meat and stir until brown.
Add the flour and stir, this will help thicken later.

Drop in the onion and cook with the beef for a minute.

Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 2-3 hours or until beef is tender.
If needed add more flour to thicken to a gravy.
