With the return of Harry Osborn in Spider-Man 2, Paesano composed a new theme for him that's cemented itself as the standout musical motif from the game. His theme starts off with a gentle three note motif, building off of it into a more complete melody carried by woodwinds and soft strings. It portrays Harry as a gentle, kind soul, yet one with a lot of trauma and burdens laid upon his shoulders. As he works to heal the world, his theme evokes his heroics through thunderous brass and choir played over Peter's ostinato, but his theme becomes twisted as Venom takes his toll on the poor, fragile kid. Distorted electronics carry his theme as the musical language of the Symbiote infects Harry's theme, the two battling back and forth for control throughout the game as Harry's theme becomes a signifier of what the true conflict at hand is; a battle for Harry's soul. As such it becomes a musical identity more impactful because of the emotional weight it has throughout the story.
