After my last video testing Portal RTX, I did some more tweaking on my laptop to get HL2: RTX running without crashing. Now I'm able to walk around Ravenholm at 2 FPS at 640x480! While it sounds pointless and terrible, this is actually very impressive (in my opinion) for an integrated GPU from 2019 using 15w of power and 8GB of total ram in the whole entire computer. We also test Quake 2 RTX, which runs at over 30 FPS, and Cyberpunk 2077 using path tracing as well as full ray tracing. Cyberpunk Ultra Plus mod/CyberEngine Tweaks was used to use the original Cyberpunk 1.6 path tracing update, which is easier to run that the most recent update to the path tracing added. Running on a AMD Ryzen 3500u APU with 8GB of ram on Fedora 42 using Zwap (as opposed to zram) with a 20GB Swap file backing it up on a fast PCI-E Gen 4 NVME SSD for fast swapping. This effectively expands our usable memory to over 10GB, with the ability to use up to 24 or so GBs in total.
