The final video for Soap Opera October is in honor of Halloween. For about a year on the now-canceled "Guiding Light", there was a very popular storyline that involved a young man named Brent Lawrence, who ultimately put several characters in the fictional town of Springfield through hell. Brent raped Lucy Cooper, his co-worker whom he briefly dated, and after he was exposed and failed in kidnapping Lucy, he was shot and faked his death. He returned to town shortly thereafter, seeking revenge. Knowing that he would be recognized, he disguised himself as a woman named Marian Crane (there were a few "Psycho" parallels, also in that Brent had been abused by his mother and became increasingly unhinged as time went on). The role of Brent Lawrence/Marian Crane was primarily played (brilliantly) by Frank Beaty (there were a few weeks where an actor named Marc Wolf temporarily took over the role), who succeeded in making the character somewhat complex instead of a one-note villain. Brent is considered by many to be one of the best villains not only in Guiding Light history, but also soap opera history. Unfortunately, many episodes from this storyline are currently not available on youtube, so these clips are from episodes, random scenes, or videos made by other youtube users. The music is by Christopher Young from the "Jennifer 8" movie soundtrack.
